The Sophia Mundi enrolment journey begins with an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We invite prospective students and their families to join us on a school tour.

Tours are held (during  Term time) on the first Tuesday of each month at 9:30am (bookings essential).

We also offer Saturday Tours (during Term time) on the fourth Saturday of each month for those who find it difficult to visit on a weekday.  Saturday tours leave promptly from the school Reception on the hour, each hour between 10:00am – 2:00pm (last tour leaves at 1:00pm).

Application and Enrolment

Applications to enrol your child at Sophia Mundi can be submitted at any time. We encourage early applications to increase the likelihood of securing a place in your preferred year of entry. The acceptance of your application will place your child on our applicant list. Please note that this does not secure an enrolled place; places at Sophia Mundi are offered in order of the date of application. Applicants with a connection to the school will receive priority.

Enrolment steps:

Step 1: Complete and submit an Application Form together with a registration fee of $180 for one applicant and $90 per subsequent applicant. The registration fee is non-refundable.

Step 2: Your application will be placed onto our applicant list for the relevant Class and you will receive confirmation of this from the Registrar.

Step 3:  A family interview with the Principal and/or Head of School and the relevant Class Teacher/Guardian will be scheduled.  You will be required to submit an Enrolment Form along with supporting documents prior to the interview.  Following the interview, you will meet with the Business Manager to discuss the payment of School Fees.

Note: Families based interstate or overseas may not be required to attend an enrolment interview prior to an Offer of Enrolment.  Alternatively, an initial introduction via Skype may be offered.  A meeting with the Principal and/or Head of School and the relevant Class Teacher/Guardian will be essential prior to commencing.

Step 4: A further interview/s may be required with our Support Education and/or Welfare staff.

Step 5: A formal Letter of Offer may be issued at the discretion of the Principal, which will ask for the payment of the non-refundable Enrolment Confirmation Fee by the due date.

Our  Fee Policy 2019 applies to Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents and the dependent children of a parent who holds a Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (subclass 457).

Additional fees apply to the dependent children of a parent who holds a Student Visa (subclass 500) and to students who hold a Visitor Visa.  Please contact the for more information.


Academic/Artistic Scholarships

Sophia Mundi Steiner School is pleased to announce Academic/Artistic Scholarships for Classes 7-11 in 2020!

General Information


Sophia Mundi is coeducational and non-denominational Steiner School at all levels from Prep to Year 12 with International Baccalaureate Diploma Program in Years 11 and Year 12.

All scholarships are awarded on the basis of Academic/Artistic Merit and are open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents for new student placements only.

Scholarship entitlements

Academic/Artistic Scholarships provide students with an amount of up to 75% tuition fee remission from Years 7 to 12. Additional fees (Confirmation, Camp, Music, Sundries, Contributed Services and Building Fund) are not covered by the Scholarship.

Duration of Scholarships – Each scholarship continues for the remainder of the recipient’s years of schooling until the completion of Year 12 (unless the scholarship is cancelled).

Cancellation of Scholarships

A scholarship may be cancelled if:

  • the recipients behaviour and/or progress is considered to be unsatisfactory
  • the recipient is suspended or excluded from School
  • the student leaves the School

 Application for Scholarship

Applicants must apply using our Secondary Scholarship Application Form.  A standard Secondary Enrolment Form must also be provided along with copies of the applicants two most recent school reports and a non-refundable application fee of $100 (inc. GST).

Application Closing Date

Scholarship applications will be accepted until close of business on Friday 24 May 2019.

Notification of Applicants Outcome

Successful applicants will be invited to attend a Scholarship Interview with the Principal.  Scholarships will be awarded at the Principal’s discretion as soon as possible following the interview.  All applicants will receive notification as to the outcome of their application.

Additional Information

Where possible, the application form requires confirmation from 2 caregivers (often both biological parents) that the student is permitted to apply for the Academic/Artistic Scholarship.  We understand that in some families this may not be possible
