Class One Teacher 2026
The Class One Teacher holds a foundational role in the primary years of Steiner education, establishing a secure, nurturing, and imaginative learning environment that supports the developmental needs of Class One students as they transition into formal schooling.
We are seeking a Primary School Teacher who brings enthusiasm, warmth, and imagination. This role requires a strong commitment to nurturing each child’s unfolding journey in alignment with Steiner’s child developmental stages.
We ask for a three-year teaching commitment, with the intention of continuing with the class through to the end of Class 3, before returning to Class 1 to begin another cycle.

Teacher of French
Sophia Mundi Steiner School is seeking an inspiring and committed French teacher to join our Secondary team, teaching French Ab Initio within the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Based in the Abbotsford Convent Precinct, this full-time role offers the opportunity to engage with a creative, student-centered curriculum that values intercultural understanding, inquiry-based learning, and holistic development. Office Assistant
The Office Assistant is a key front-of-house role, acting as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff and visitors. The role requires a warm and professional demeanour, excellent communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a calm and efficient manner. The position also supports the smooth running of school operations through administrative duties across the school, with a strong focus on confidentiality, organisation, and attention to detail.

Sophia Mundi Steiner School has a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse and is committed to promoting child safety, children's wellbeing and protecting children from abuse. Ministerial Order 1359 requires Sophia Mundi to implement child safety standards and to accommodate and take the needs of all children (including but not limited to, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, children with disabilities, and children who are vulnerable) into account when creating a child safe environment.
