On Wednesday 8 August 2012 we welcomed the school community, parents, friends, local Councillors, MPs, ACF and Farm board members and staff as well as many friends and family members to share in the opening of our new building.  Aunty Di Kerr, of the Wurundjeri tribe gave a lovely welcome to country and we had great speeches from Dick Wynne our local MP, Hayden Raysmith the Chair of the ACF, Rob Dexter the Chair of the Sophia Mundi Board, Ruby Smith of class 5, Summer Lyle-Holmes of class 11 and Greg Burgess our architect and founding parent.  Many many thanks to all parents, friends and willing workers who have worked so hard to make the vision for the school into a reality and to deliver our marvellous new building and the science laboratories which were finished shortly afterwards.
