The National Assessment Program – Literary and Numeracy (NAPLAN) was introduced in Australia over a decade ago to assess students’ reading, writing, language (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy. The Program has been managed by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) since 2010.
