In primeval times
The Spirit of the Earth
Approached the Spirit of the Heavens
Pleading thus:
“I know how to speak
With the human spirit
However, I am pleading for that language too,
Through which the Cosmic Heart
Knows how to speak to human hearts.”
The Spirit of the Heavens then in goodness
Bestowed upon the pleading Spirit of the Earth
