High School Maths Science Teacher
We are seeking applications for the position of Maths / Science Teacher for our High School. This is a full time position and encompasses Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and possible homeroom teacher.
Sophia Mundi is an independent Steiner School that is going through a process of consolidation and renewal. We are therefore looking for an individual who is passionate about the Maths / Science area, with an area of particular interest and expertise. This person will take the lead in bringing a programme that is enlivening and inspiring for our students while being academically rigorous.
Part of the work requires a VCE component and experience in this would be needed. It is desirable that applicants also have a background in Steiner education and short of this an openness and interest in developing this side of their teaching skill base.

Position Description
Woodwork and Metalwork Teacher
We are seeking applications for the position of Woodwork / Metalwork Teacher (Hard Arts) for our Middle and Senior School classes.
The successful applicant will take the lead in developing a programme that is both challenging and inspiring for our students and complementary within the Arts and Crafts curriculum of the School.
They will display a passion for their field of expertise and a capacity to engender enthusiasm in students.
The position requires skill in
- Wood carving
- Whittling
- Forge work
- Copper beating
Good planning and communication skills and a proven ability to work collegially with teachers and management are necessary for this role.
The position is part-time, across 2 – 3 afternoons per week.
VIT registration is preferable and previous teaching experience essential.
